MakerLab Dhaka brings you the unique pleasure of holding a 3D printed copy of anything you can imagine in your hands!
Step 01 : Choose Your Design
- You can design your own 3D Models. Those of you who are new to 3D modelling can try using these easy to use free apps :
- You can also try this free app by Autodesk to Scan any Physical Object with a camera or phone :
- Send us your 3D design file via email ([email protected]) or inbox us at MakerLab Dhaka Facebook Page in any one of these file formats - .skp / .3ds / .obj / .stl
- You can also choose and download designs to be 3D printed from different sites. Here are a few to get you started :
- Send us the link of the 3D Design you want to 3D Print via email ([email protected]) or inbox at MakerLab Dhaka Facebook Page. Please do make sure that the Model you have chosen is downloadable.
- You can choose Designs to 3D Print from our Gallery (Copy and send us the image link)
- You can also have any 2D image 3D printed as a Lithophane (Sample). The image should be at least 720 pixels in its longer side.
Step 02 : Choose The Size of Your Print
- For your own designs it is wise to keep the model scaled to the size you want it to be printed. However if you are not sure how to do it, we can always scale your model according to your preference prior print. You just have to specify how wide (X-axis) or how deep (Y-axis) or how tall (Z-axis) you want your model to be.
- For downloaded 3D designs or objects from our album, choose either how tall (Z axis) or how wide (X axis) or how deep (Y axis) you want your object to be printed.
- For Lithophanes of any 2D image choose the shorter or longer side length of your 3D printed object.
Step 03 : Choose Material and Color
Currently we stock

Step 04 : Choose Print Quality
- You can choose from five different print qualities. Look in Step 03 for details about print quality and their price.
Note : All models may not be printed at lower resolutions. Complexity, Printability or finesse of a model may require a higher resolution print. Consult us for choosing your print resolution if you are not sure.
Step 05 : Ask for a Quotation
- Once you have decided on the above factors (Design > Size > Material & Color > Quality) ask for a quotation via email or inbox. We will then input all these parameters in Cura and calculate the approximate weight and cost of printing your Model and get back to you within 24 hours.
Note : The final price will be calculated after weighing the complete print and may slightly vary from the initial estimated cost.
Step 06 : Confirm Your Order
- If you are not OK with the estimated cost, revisit Step 02 through Step 05.
- If you are OK with the estimated cost and want your object to be 3D printed, confirm your order via email or inbox.
- You will need to provide your full name, cellphone number and shipping address to receive your product.
Step 07 : Receive Your Product
- Once you have confirmed your order we will print your object in the least possible time and notify you over a Facebook message or Email.
- You can opt for Home Delivery or Pickup to collect your order
- Pay upfront and receive your product.
- If you want, we can also arrange for home delivery over courier for BDT 100/- extra upon full advance payment via bKash or DBBL accounts payment.
NOTES
- 3D printing is a complicated process and a fairly new technology. Be patient. We can not guarantee that we will be able to print anything you ask for, but we will definitely try.
- It takes A LOT OF TIME to print objects, so you might have to wait in line for a while to get your hands on your product.
- Accuracy of the printed parts are not always same, so margin of error from 0% to 5% in any print is expected.
- Do not ask us to design 3D models for you, Do not ask us to paint your 3D printed model for you, We do not have enough time to deal with those requests.
